This is my blog about quilting, reading, vizslas, and living. I will share what I'm learning, especially about making modern quilts, and designing my own patterns.

Me and My Dogs in Bennett
Here are photos of my companions as I go about my day. They're with me while I'm quilting, reading, eating, using the bath room and just about everywhere I go. They are Vizslas which are Hungarian pointers that are supposed to hunt pheasants, quail, grouse and other upland birds. However, Ginger, the female, jumped our fence and chases an antelope for 3 or 4 miles about 2 months ago. After $330 of vet bills, she hasn't done that again.
Finished two quilts, one more to go
Hi everyone,
I haven't kept up with this blog. I had custom orders for three quilts. I got two of them done, one still to go. I'm using Sweet Jane's San Francisco Window Boxes patterns for two of them. Here's photos of one from that pattern.

A Long Time Waiting
If anyone out there is following my blog, you know that I've not posted for a looooong time. I've been very busy with my business and family. I want to show you a new quilt I made recently that has sold really well. It's a modern version of The Very Hungry Caterpillar.

Colored windows with Brown Sashing
Here are some photos of the double size quilt I sent off this week to a boy in upstate NY. His mom traded a whole bunch of fabric for this quilt. It's basically 5" squares with brown sashing.
Two down, one to go
I haven't posted on my blog. I've been so busy making three custom orders. The photos above show the one I finished today. It's Sweet Jane's SF window box pattern with in the woods fabric. I made it for the son of a customer in Athens, Greece. I like how the colors and quilting come together. I also made a matching pillow case for him, Ectoras. This is my first customer in Greece.
